Fundamental Rights

Rights conferred on citizens and non-citizens are not merely individual or personal rights. They have a large social and political content, because the objectives of the Constitution cannot be otherwise realised. Fundamental rights represent the claims of the individual and the restrictions thereon are the claims of the society.

Fundamental rights are one of the most significant parts of the Indian Constitution, and in this lecture, Dr. V. Suresh and D. Nagasaila attempt to examine and demystify some of the most important and relevant parts of the Chapter. Please find below links to the reading material and the PPT that is used in the lecture.
